Globe Reaction: Zzzz

Fairly awful show. The direction of it was horrible. I mean, after 5 hours of the Beatty segment, you think they would've shown Warren kiss Annette, but no. He goes to kiss her. And then they cut to random people. Smart.

Except Ugly Betty, America, Peter Morgan, Scorsese, Meryl, Alec and Sacha. Everyone else was either awful (the whole Tom Hanks-Warren Beatty love fest felt like it was never going to end), completely forgettable (Hudson, Clint) and just awkward (Forest).

But Emily Blunt has a Golden Globe? Yippee! Meryl referred to her as "darling Emily." Right on. I loved Meryl's little dig on Stanley Tucci.

Red carpet coverage: Much improved. Still, E!, get rid of Debbie. At least they panned up the dresses, which is sometimes all I ask for. Everytime I saw someone I didn't know, I figured they were in the supporting cast of Heroes and most of the time they were. :-) And good lord what did Rosanna Arquette do to herself?
