New Trailer: Pride and Prejudice
Dreaming of Keira Knightley nearly nightly? This trailer will be attached to Cinderella Man this weekend. (I would've rather Universal attached a Brokeback Mountain trailer but NO! Can't do that!) Look for the Rent trailer to be on Lords of Dogtown. Quite the excitement!

Well, it's the end of May, and PRIDE & PREJUDICE won't be out until the end of September, which is a 4 month gap. If that's any indication of Focus' timelines, then we might have to wait until BROKEN FLOWERS is released at the beginning of August to see a BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN trailer. *glum*
I'll keep my hopes up about the possibility of it being attached to MY SUMMER OF LOVE, though (which is only a few weeks away).
True dat. The original teaser - well, it was almost a full trailer - for Eternal Sunshine debuted on Lost In Translation almost 6 months before its release date. I guess I figured because Brokeback Mountain wrapped production before Pride and Prejudice started, we might get a look first. Focus has good marketing, though. When the trailer is out, a poster will likely follow right behind. There's also the possibility that much like P&P, they won't put it on a Focus film, rather a Universal release considering they do plan on taking the film wide at some point. :-)
Ah, good point... I've been kind of concerned with the fact that there aren't any wide-release films by Focus coming out before BBM until P&P (which is cutting it too close in terms of marketing, considering it's coming out a mere 2 1/2 months before BBM). It would really be in their best interest to put the trailer infront of a larger Universal film (the studio's next big release after CINDERELLA MAN is SKELETON KEY, on August 12th... hmmmm).
Correction! It looks like P&P is only a limited release, while THE CONSTANT GARDENER (Aug 26th) is a wide release. However, that's still only 3 1/2 months prior to BBM...
I just don't want to see them mess up the marketing campaign for BROKEBACK.
